Reading Retreat Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

Registration for the retreat is confirmed upon receipt of deposit.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Payment must be made by the specified deadline to secure your place at the retreat.

We accept payment via Stripe.

All payments shall be made in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Payments made in any other currency may be subject to currency conversion fees.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations made 4 weeks or more before the retreat start date will receive a full refund minus any applicable transaction fees and deposit.

Cancellations made within 27 days of the retreat start date are non-refundable.

Refunds will be processed within 10 days of receiving the cancellation request.

If full payment is not paid by the date specified, the balance paid up until this point will not be refunded.

In the event that a customer is not entirely satisfied with the retreat, they may request a partial refund within seven days of the retreat's conclusion.

Requests submitted after this period shall not be entertained.

A full refund shall only be granted if the customer does not participate in the entirety of the retreat.

3. Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel the retreat in the following circumstances:

  • Insufficient Participants: If the minimum number of participants required to run the retreat is not met, we may cancel the retreat.

  • Force Majeure: We may cancel the retreat due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or other unforeseen events.

  • Other Reasons: In rare cases, we may need to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, such as health issues of staff or instructors.

If we cancel the retreat:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible.

  • We will offer you a full refund of all payments made for the retreat.

  • We may offer you the option to transfer your payment to a future retreat, subject to availability.

Please note: We will make every effort to avoid canceling the retreat. However, we cannot be held responsible for any indirect or consequential losses arising from a cancellation.

4. Participant Responsibilities:

Participants are responsible for their own flights to and from the retreat.

Participants must inform the organisers of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions prior to the retreat.

Participants are expected to adhere to the schedule and guidelines provided by the retreat organisers.

Any damage to property caused by participants will be the responsibility of the individual(s) involved.

5. Health and Safety:

Participants are required to comply with all health and safety measures implemented by the retreat organisers.

Participants are required to travel with insurance and are responsible for their own insurance.

The retreat organisers are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that occur during the retreat, except where caused by negligence on our part.

6. Changes to Itinerary:

The retreat organisers reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, activities, or accommodations due to unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond our control.

Participants will be notified of any significant changes to the retreat schedule as soon as possible.

7. Liability Waiver:

Participants acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with participating in the retreat activities.

The retreat organisers, including their employees, agents, and affiliates, shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense incurred during the retreat, except where caused by our negligence.

8. Photography and Media:

Participants must consent to the use of their likeness in photographs, videos, or promotional materials related to the retreat.

Any photographs or videos taken during the retreat may be used for promotional purposes by the organisers.

9. Privacy Policy:

Participant information collected during the registration process will be used solely for the purpose of organising and administering the retreat.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our participants and will not disclose personal information to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

10. Governing Law:

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Any disputes arising from or related to the retreat shall be resolved through arbitration in England in accordance with the rules of the Central Arbitration Committee.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website.

By registering for the retreat, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
